How Containers Change How You Need to Think About Application Security

Microservice architectures and cloud native solutions are cornerstones of the modern agile applications high-performing DevOps teams manage. While container and microservice designs increase development agility, that agility shouldn’t come at the cost of security or be encumbered by security tooling.

In this session, we’ll look at a canonical web application to understand the decisions that affect both the quality and security of an application, with the goal of identifying issues precisely. We’ll also highlight how to overcome traditional friction points that can limit adoption. This includes a framework to identify the type of tooling that offers the greatest value at each stage of a container’s life cycle – from inception through versioned deployments.
